As someone who was raped I can’t help but cheer Philip Defranco in his latest video. *It has been cued up, so don’t worry, and I’m sorry Phil*
It’s not easy, and the fact that the media cries ‘foul’ for the rapist. It fucking sickens me. Who gives a shit if these ‘promising’ young men’s futures are ruined. That’s what happens when you…I don’t know, RAPE SOMEONE WHO’S UNCONSCIOUS.

They did it themselves. So why are you mourning the fact that their futures have been ruined, and then trying to tarnish the victim. NO ONE asks to be raped. And why should you pity the rapist?
What they did will remain with the victim for the rest of their life.

You’ve got to be one of the strongest people I have ever talked to/followed/youtubed. Thank you for having such a strong voice about what you endured, for everyone out there who cannot. 

I read the article on what happened and was shocked that even the article couldn’t seem to help “sympathizing” with the rapists! More people should have been thrown in jail for what they did, everyone involved should have it on their records for life and if you ask me, when it applies to rape, age shouldn’t effect the sentencing. They KNEW what they were doing. It’s human nature to have instincts about what you should and shouldn’t be doing to another human being- don’t give me crap about being too young to know or too young to handle a larger sentencing. Why shouldn’t they all be put in prison with other rapists? It’s what they ARE. 

It’s unfair and disgusting for people not to realize what’s going for the VICTIM. How this will follow her forever, in every waking and sleeping moment. How the pictures will forever be out there for the world to see, and people wont even care to realize she isn’t the one at fault for this. She has to live with the knowledge that all these people who could have saved her from this, didn’t care enough to at least call the cops, or take her to a hospital or even home. 

People are shameless and disgusting, recognize the victim and help her,  don’t further her trauma by sympathizing for rapists, criminals.

Well, the person that did this too me ended up going to jail, and is now a registered sex offender in Washington DC *where I was staying at the time.
Sure, people could argue he was drunk, but it doesn’t matter. What he did was a crime, and something that effects me to this day. It actually took me another time of reading what I had written to realize I hadn’t got everything, so I’ve actually added more *not too much more, as Tumblr has minors on here.*

And you’re right, they should ALL be locked away. Every person that had something to do with what happened to her. ‘Scuse my french, but fuck plea deals and other crap. They should’ve thought about that BEFORE. From what I’ve read, and seen, they’ve had plenty of time too.

But what sickens me the most is that she’s getting death threats. Death threats. Yep… how fucking pathetic can people be. Way to show your support Steubenville. Then again…they’re a ‘football’ town.

It makes me sick to my stomach that a place like this exists in my home state of Ohio.

I don’t understand people, sometimes I can be too compassionate- but I know where to draw the line. I don’t have compassion on rapists. Rape is wrong, child pornography is wrong, minors partying and drinking- it’s all wrong! Rape was most definitely the worst offense that night, but they ALL knew that everything they were doing was illegal.

All the parents should be held responsible as well, because it’s well known that they let this happen. Where was the partying held?? Why wasn’t anyone helping this girl?? People are sick; and who CARES about a stupid game where guys wear spandex and jump on each other for a ball? Since when was this the price of justice and morality? 

Why do people think it’s okay to blame the victim? There are hundreds of cases where both men AND women are blamed for being victimized by a predator. I just want to scream “WAKE UP PEOPLE, YOU’RE RAISING PREDATORS!” There is never a reason the victim should be blamed. Ever. I don’t care about past behavior, I don’t care about clothing or intoxication. It isn’t there fault some predator couldn’t “control” themselves.

“Boys will be boys” get real. Boys will be what you raise them to be. You don’t see every man(or woman) raping a defenseless person or even one who CAN fight back, quit giving excuses for the generation you’re raising America. Stop being lenient on the predator, all of whom, should be locked in their own place for the rest of their lives- no matter how “good” of a person they seemed to be. 

What makes no sense to me is a person speeding can hit someone with their car, and get more time in prison at the age of 16, than someone who raped a defenseless woman/man at the same age or older. Someone involved in an accident is more remorseful of taking another’s life or hurting someone- whereas these boys and this town thinks nothing of tearing apart an innocent girls life because these boys ruined their own life by ruining hers. 

In my opinion- their life isn’t even ruined. They got a slap on the wrist. It disgusts me, it makes me mourn for our society with its lack of morals and common sense.

And I am happy the man who did this to you got punished for it. I really admire your courage!

And I should know. During the week of Christmas, I don’t go to bed til after 3:35am every day because if I try, I’ll end up having nightmares of what happened to me. I can’t watch ‘Madagascar’ anymore, because I remember that was the movie playing at the time. I can’t fall asleep completely on my own couch, in my own home. If you try to wake me up, or hell, even touch me, I will flip out and go Jackie Chan on your ass with one of the knives I keep hidden underneath the cushion, around my house, or on my person. I absolutely can’t STAND the smell of Jack Daniel’s as that was what he was drinking. I hate it so much that my fiance actually stopped drinking it all together.
He didn’t have too, but he still did. He chose to give up his favorite alcoholic beverage for me…
So I wouldn’t have to deal with the memories that the smell assaults me with.

Oh, and I was sober, and wearing baggy f*cking clothes before you end up thinking of some condiluted bullshit that the media/society likes to shove down your throats.
